Departure by minibus to the southern slope of the Atlas through the Col of Tichka (2260m), then we go on heading for Agdzo and the valley of Draa, « a palm grove of villages» two hundreds kilometres in length. After Zagura, we settle down our bivouac on sand at the outset of the village of M-hamid, 8 hours drive.

Leaving M-hamid, we get closer to the nomadic Saharan tribes from reg to an other. The traveller discover an unusual world where the human living is scaled down to the minimum. The expanses of stony plateaux, rich in fossils, give way to fine and smooth sand dunes.
Some rare nomadic tents, camelhair-woven, stand out in these awe-inspiring spaces. Water becomes rare, a small oasis is enough to regain a swarming life within an austere but too welcoming world.
Being in the company of cameleers and their camels, the traveller will appreciate life in its ancestral pace. Magnificent Sunsets, marvellous starry nights and peaceful landscapes tempt us to admire a mysterious universe where the traveller becomes a namad.
Leaving the vast expanse of ergs dune, from Abedliya, Bouguern and Ghoul, we cross the immense depression of the Iriqi as the marvellous mountain of Amdaour srir is our only landmark. Our travel is nearing its end at the foot of small dunes which stand out against the imposing hill.

In the morning, we take our leave of cameleers, and cast a last glance at the expanses of this desert before getting into land Rovers. A beautiful dirt track ,crossing the dried wadis, leads us to the tarred road. We get to Marrakesh through the Col of Tichka..
